Is dihexa FDA-approved?

Not approved by the FDA. Products sold online as "research chemicals" aren't checked for purity, sterility or dose.

Overview

Dihexa was designed at Washington State University to boost the HGF/c-Met system, which helps neurons form new connections. In rodents it improved memory and reversed deficits in Alzheimer's-type models. There are no published human studies. Because the HGF/c-Met pathway also drives some cancers, researchers have raised long-term safety questions.

How it works

It helps HGF switch on its receptor, c-Met, which promotes new synapses between brain cells.

How long does dihexa stay in the body?

Not established in people.

What it's studied for

Related: Cerebrolysin, Pinealon, Selank, Epitalon.
